Finally Got a Chance to Wear Some McQueen

You know when you're meeting up to plan a baby shower for your friends, you need to show up in style.

I met up with my friend Sarah K at Banana Bay tonight to plan a baby shower for our close friend.  When you're having a discussion about making flower centerpieces and gold dusted cupcakes over Thai food; it doesn't really hurt to inject a little bit of McQueen into your night.

I love the brilliant orange wall but it makes me look excessively pale.

This necklace from Target is kind of amazing.  I prefer to wear it double wrapped around my wrist to get the job done.

Rainy Day Shopping

Kind of the worst possible photo-op ever (photo was taken in front of Joann Fabrics by my little sister) but it gets the job done.  If anyone is wondering why I was at Joann's; I was buying supplies in order to teach my mom how to sew.  I know, I know; I'm a big momma's boy but nothing makes me happier than teaching someone how to sew a perfectly straight hem :D.

Hello Monsieur Cupcake, Its Been Far Too Long....

I decided to go to Santa Monica with my friend Kristin today for a little bit of R&R.

I wanted to go for the whole monochromatic thing that I've been seeing on the Fall runways in Milan over the last few days.

Whole lot of R&R alright!  I drove almost a hundred miles all day, suffered through traffic, pigged out at SPRINKLES, and had lunch.  I love LA :D....It was all worth it as long as I came home with my precious little treasure.

I actually ate this one right there in the car because I couldn't resist myself....

I know I eat Sprinkles way too much but, I'm on vacation.  Sometimes you just need to treat yourself!

Went to the Mountains Yesterday

My tailbone is really sore from sledding and I have a huge bruise on my leg from when I went straight into a tree stump but otherwise, I'm so down to go again.

Found Myself a Little Project

I saw these McQ by Alexander McQueen Draped T-Shirts on Gilt Groupe yesterday.

Seeing as how I'm a little strapped for cash after going after-Christmas shopping yesterday, I found it a little impractical to drop a chunk of cash on 3 t-shirts and I got a genius idea.  I'm going to attempt to make them!  They look pretty easy to replicate but I'm sure the design is deceptively simple and I'm a little bit of a perfectionist so yeah.... we'll see how they turn out.  

BTW I'm a little bit obsessed over affordable clothes with "Made in Italy" tags so I did happen to buy the red one.
