Just Roaming Around the Neighborhood Like a Lost Dog

I love living near LA.   I'm just far away enough to not have to deal with the smog and the crazy people but I'm near enough to drive over whenever I want.

This was supposed to be a day of museums  with my friend Kristin and scouring the streets for materials to make assemblages, but like most of my contrivances; the plans fell through and we ended up driving all over UCLA and getting lost in very scary places....

Notice how I kept my windows rolled up when I took this picture....

At least I got to swing by the world renowned La Brea Bakery which was right down the street from the above picture.

All the people in this neighborhood had perfectly manicured lawns and I couldn't help but be a wierdo and take a picture here....

Just a little note; that is root-beer in my hand!  And in the other hand, the worlds most decadent carrot cake.

Because We Know How to Throw an Amazing Baby Shower!

I had no idea how to throw a baby shower before this but I do have to admit; my friend Sarah and I know how to put together one good party!

Fall Winter 2011 Menswear Show Highlights: Milan and Paris

I know that this post is two weeks past-due, but I really wanted to do a top ten piece  for the latest round of menswear shows that we saw in Milan and Paris over the last month.  Sadly; I could only narrow it down to twelve looks....

I knew that it would be gauche to post a jumble of pictures up in a crude list so I've been on the web the last few days researching slideshow production.  Believe me; plenty of hard work has gone into this post.  I've spent the better part of six hours (intermittently; of course) going through look-books, editing down selections, doing my research on HTML generators, and tagging EVERYTHING to get this post done.

Now; I present you with the fruit of my labor; the top twelve looks that you need to buy (if you have the cash!) or obsess over (if you are the rest of us) for the next five months or so.

Finally Got a Chance to Wear Some McQueen

You know when you're meeting up to plan a baby shower for your friends, you need to show up in style.

I met up with my friend Sarah K at Banana Bay tonight to plan a baby shower for our close friend.  When you're having a discussion about making flower centerpieces and gold dusted cupcakes over Thai food; it doesn't really hurt to inject a little bit of McQueen into your night.

 

Wow look at those guns!  My arms are definitely getting more toned....

I love the brilliant orange wall but it makes me look excessively pale.

This necklace from Target is kind of amazing.  I prefer to wear it double wrapped around my wrist to get the job done.

My fashionable friend Sarah.  I almost jumped her for her Ralph Lauren jacket.

Just Lazing Around

I seriously dropped the ball when it came to posting the last few days of Paris's menswear shows.  Now I'm scrambling to finish up my reviews and hopefully I get my top ten post up within the next day or two.

In the meantime I feel like expanding my "modeling" resume a little bit....
